I am currently running a tournament that started in early April. The first round is still in progress, with one game left and this game just started (white has moved, black has not). The two players involved are already mathematically eliminated and the person that leads the group is the clear victor, nobody is waiting for possible tie breaker points based on this game.
My question, can I eliminate these players from the tournament without ill affect to their ratings so that the next round can start and not have to wait another six months? Is this considered bad form? If the players agree to a draw now, does it affect their rating (like I mentioned, the first move isn't complete yet)?

My question, can I eliminate these players from the tournament ...
You will find you cannot remove players with active games.
In the players area, it gives me an "X" by their names. Does this not remove them?
It does before the tournament starts and between rounds if all their games are over.
