Hi, on a turnament standings list, what is the number in parenthesis (image below), how is it calculated? Also how is the Tie value calculated?
Thanks!
Boletus_CZ
The first number - (17) here - is the player`s starting position when the tournament begins, i.e. there were 16 players with a higher rating than yours. Read here about the Tie Break.
Thanks Boletus_CZ, now it seems so obvious, I ought to find it out bby myself! Happy chess
