It has been alternating between normal performance and excruciatingly slow for a few days, today I cannot load the site at all in Internet Explorer. All other sites work as normal, and although a little slow, this one is working in Firefox.
Particularly problematic areas seem to be the opening database and the correspondence board.
you should definitely clear your cache and come back. see if that works. but this is very sad to hear - let me know how it goes!
Cleared the cache in both, this page still took a couple of minutes to load in IE. I don't think clearing the cache is what allowed the site to load though, it's been periodically slowing and speeding up over the last few days.
Seems odd that a problem my end would only affect this one site, could it be the a problem with the server doing the UK?
possibly a UK issue, but shouldn't be. let me dig more.
turns out our database is having intermittent troubles today. looking into it...
