Forgive me if this has been asked and answered before, but I wasn't able to find an answer.

In my current games, I have one which is frequently being held up by my opponent taking "Vacation Time" with the message "Sorry, away in ????? till next Tues"

After this occurred for the 4th time, I looked up my opponent and found that they are playing >300 games at once! No drama with that, but only 1/3 or so of the games were on vacation time!

I then took notice and even found that this opponent would be online and on vacation in my game at the same time!

My question obviously is, is this a breach of site policy regarding the use of vacation time?

I have that problem, too! But don't worry, they loose on time in most cases! My other problem is that players play till they ran into trouble, than they check off... can't take the punch? We are here to ENJOY chess, not to chicken out! It's only a very beautifull and elite game, don't mess it up!

If you think that's bad, P from B you should check out this thread.

This guy had zillions of games going simultaneously and used his vacation time to cope with them.  When he used all his vacation allowance he timed out on 1105 games.  He came back, played for a little while, and is now apparently timing out on his 159 remaining games.

Thanks Dave, (I think Wink)

Fancy making me read nine pages of a thread to find that there are plenty of people doing the exact same thing! Laughing

The answer would appear to be that it isn't a compromise of any site rule. If anyone has information to the contrary, I welcome the correction.

I am simply amazed that anyone could consider playing that many games at one time.
