I enter my name, like many others, for the New Years Tournament that was initiated by ThelastLink which I thaught was a good idea and so play my first game set to unrated for obvious reasons, but then the competition is removed!  The end result being, that I just won a game after many days of play for absolutely nothing - the competition is dead and my rating didn't go up either because it was unrated.

I feel the decison for removing the tournament at this time was bad timing.  If it was going to be removed, surely it should have been removed right at the beginning.  The opponant is rated much higher than myself and so I would have gained alot of points - I feel cheated.

i'm sorry to hear that. we will be putting OFFICIAL tournaments on the site in 60 days or so!

Just wait for the release of official tournaments, as they will probably be better organized than an impromptu tournament like those seen in the forums.
