Vote chess: Did i break a rule absentmindedly?

Note: This had no bearing on vote chess games, as what I might have broken the rules for ended up being irrelevant before it influenced any votes.

Hello, I'm playing a game of vote chess, and yesterday I unknowingly walked into a situation thats stretching the rules..  See I was playing vote chess, the tactical vs positional game and was looking at a really long line.  My friend was bored, decided "hey lets play it out" and so we did, and posted the result.  I just realized today looking at the vote chess help (I'm considering suggesting something to eric) that I may have violated the "No outside help" rule.

But I'm wondering if this was breaking the rules, stretching the rules (but he was a tactical player =D), or if this was never intended to be against the rules.  I apologize profusely for even walking this grey area, it just slipped my mind.
