And you have to make a rule that human players are not allowed to use engines when they are in the human team.

Good luck with that.

Also, the game would have to be unrated I think ?

@Wall05: Regarding (C), I think one member with a powerful computer and the correct software would be more fun. It would give the "Human" side a focus for their disdane (much like Chess.com Vs. cheater_1/CANNIBAL37). One brave member.

Hi
I have just created a group called Humans vs. Chess computers and want to arrange a vote chess game against a strong computer engine. Therefore I am looking for:
A) Members!
B) A consensus on which program should be used
C) Some member(s) with said engine who are prepared to play as the computer
Regards
RObert
I might be able to do this. Under team rich, if we could organise it somehow.
Yeah definitely!
The object of the game for me would be to try to find positions which the computer is uncomfortable playing. Nakamura has demonstrated (I think) that if you lock up the pawns while down material against a computer it will be so convinced it is winning that it will try to open the game up at any cost...
This is one technique to beat a computer. Another is to aim for positions which the computer believes are bad but we as humans KNOW to be good (ref:any Sam Shankland video).
I am interested in using a computer's programming against it and redressing the balance (so to speak). The tide has been going against humans for 15 years now and it is time to strike back.
