I have two suggestions to improve the Vote Chess Interface:
1) Provide "fen" information on Vote Chess games, just like in regular games, this will allow commenting members to post their move analysis with ease.
2) Add a "check" mark on Vote Chess members that already voted for current move. This will allow to lobby more efectively with the other members pending to vote.
Agree?, disagree? Any other ideas?
I like it.
I'd like to see a one or two hour "pause" between seeing the other teams' move and opening voting. The theory of crowds definitely seems to apply to vote chess, and it would be nice to get some analysis in before votes start piling up on the first idea to get a couple votes.
Going on the same direction of "stevez" comment. It would be nice to show the status of "your move" or "pending vote" on all member's pages (as in regular games). Most users get the message of their time to vote and they rush to vote before they forget, because once they read the alert and didn't vote, chances are, they will not come back to vote. If we had that feature, more users will visit the Vote Chess game in progress, read the comments/analysis and the quality of games will probably go up as well. It's all about learning and sharing knowledge.
