I was in a forum today and I noticed something curious- I recently changed my avatar picture thingy and everything is groovy, but when I scroll over my name in a forum I can still see the old picture...how odd...has this ever happened to anyone before?

Try clearing the cache on your web browser. :D 

ctrl+f5 

then check the page again. 

Now somwthing even wierder happened. I cleared the cache on the browser and when I came back to the site I went to a forum I had posted to see if it worked, I didin't notice that I wasnt logged in but the strange part is that in the forum I appeared with the old pic (the robot). When I logged back in my new pic (the chess pieces) were back as my avatar but the same problem still remains...I can still see the robot if I scroll over my user.

try logging out then logging back in.

Tried it just now. Same problem as before.

Give it some time. There are actually servers all over the world that send pics like that to users, and sometimes it takes some time for all of the servers to know that there was a change.
