    I remember when I used to consider chess-notation as Greek. Wink But nowadays I read it fluently.

    What you say, is out of question !

    Greek notation is this:

    KIng = [Ρ]ήγας

    Queen = [Β]ασίλισσα

    Bishop = [Α]ξιωματικός

    Knight = [Ι]ππος

    Rook = [Π]ύργος

    Pawn = [Σ]τρατιώτης (but is not used the letter [Σ], as in English notation.)

    0-0 and: 0-0-0  = as in English.

    e.p. = α.π. (en passant = [α]ν [π]ασσάν (έν διελεύση)), or: as in English ("e.p.").

    That's all folks ! I am at your disposal, every time !

    Constantine (Konstantinos).

    P.S.: By the way, we Greeks say: "This is Chinese to me !".

    All the rest world say: "This is Greek to me !".
