Some of the ads on this site are stupid, and that is an issue, but my main issue is that this joshmadecash website keeps on popping up >_> Chess.com never used to have pop-ups before, so I'm confused. And the other issue is that there's alot of inappropriate ads.... I just want to enjoy my chess time.
What ads?
The joy of membership!
maybe cleaning the cookies would solve the problem
we have pop ups.... oh yea i paid to not see them never mind
To those going 'get a membership', there are plenty of sites which don't have to be paid for that don't use pop-up ads. I don't mind the ads on the site normally (in fact I welcome them as they raise money for the site) but pop ups are much more jarring and annoying and if chess.com is going to use them some kind of announcement or warning would have been welcome.
Yumm.... cookies...
I totally agree with you Chessowns.
Get a Silver membership and they won't come up.
Also, Erik, you do make sure that none of the pop-ups contain Viruses, right?
I don't know anything about computers.
Why's pop ups worse than other adverts?
Also, can pop-ups not be blocked by fannying about with your browser in some manner?
I blocked it, but when I click on something it pops up, like the side of the screen, the pop up pops up.
hehe they made an announcement to paying cumstomers... maybe
Just use a popup blocker and/or adblocker and you won't have to worry about advertisements on any website. Or you could get membership, as many people have already pointed out.
eh im not getting a membership, well probally not but the popups dont bother me at all.
maradonna is a wanker--the real maradonna
I use a pop-up/adblocker... no luck
Onanism is not a crime :)
I typoed his name when I joined, should be Maradona.
Hey, I like flags, name this bad boy:
Tallinn.
Do I get an extra scoop of ice cream for that ;)
i hate him so bad i honestly have no idea how to spell his name...
Estonia.
Can you admire the ability that he had, or does your hatred rob you of the pleasure of his football skills.
o.k, Estonia was a warm up - try this one for size:
this is a real tough one :)
