So in my linux machine running gnome + firefox, it defaults to my system settings somehow, I'm guessing because it's a java application or whatever. So pretty much I cant see what I'm typing. Fix please! I refuse to change my theme!

Which theme are you using? I've had this same issue on other sites with my Linux box, using Dark Blue theme in KDE. It is kind of pointless to expect developers to change code for a single user, though. Unless that user is a VP or CFO... You can of course type in to writer and then paste into the text boxes. It sucks, but it works.

Maybe the problem is Linux, maybe Chess.com has something against Linux users... *gasp!* Maybe Chess is in league with Bill Gates! Attempting to shun all non-Windows operating systems and only support IE!

This can be solved using a simple reset stylesheet.

It's definetly not linux. I've had that exact issue on windows as well. I'm not sure what it is but it's a rare bug and usually goes away after a refresh.
