I played a game tonight that lasted 149 moves.  The last pawn captured or moved was in move 54.  The game was finally drawn by repitition 95 moves later.  Is the 50 move rule not being used in live chess?

Where does is show up to claim it?  Because I looked at the Offer Draw button and it never changed to claim draw like it does in online chess.  Maybe it was just a fluke game.

The rule of 50 moves should have been improving to 65 moves.Because of knowledges in CHESS of some players.

The button doesn't change but it should still work I believe. Why didn't you offer your opponent a draw anyway? I looked at the game and it was pretty much stuck.

I think that if you offer then it automatically accepts, even though it doesn't change to claim draw.

I offered a draw twice but he had quite a bit more time than I had so he wouldn't accept.  So I just used premove for my last 95 moves and practically used up none of my time.

Thanks for that info on the button, next time I'll just click it after fifty moves have gone by.
