my online rating is 1550-1600 but live chess is about 1100, thats a hell of a difference. I just cant seem to concentrate with the clock ticking right infront of me. how should i improve???

Play more games
and slower games

You need to win more games (or draw against stronger opponents). In order to do this, you need to play better.
But seriously, to have a 400 point difference does not mean you are that bad at blitz. Currently I have a slightly higher difference and I consider myself an unexceptional blitz player who appears to be a little better at turn-based chess.
The main reason it is harder to get the same rating at faster time controls is that the pool of players is rather stronger: this is what defines the actual strength corresponding to a nominal rating of 1200, and hence all other ratings. Usually, players have quite a lot of experience before playing blitz appeals to them, and the strongest players appear to rarely want to play slower than blitz.
I got the impression that the standard pool was tougher than playing blitz when I played it, but in hindsight it is probably slightly weaker on average (but more of a headache to play, I feel).
The key way to improve your chess is thinking deeply in slower games.

You would expect there to be a difference. You get more options in correspondence chess. Live chess is more like over the board. Start by playing slower live games. Develop pattern recognitions and tactics a bit and u should improve. The better u understand the positions u play, the better u play them under time pressure.
My correspondence rating is a lot higher then my live ratings. Because i concentrate better with the longer games. Plus my net isn't the best either so anything like blitz its tough for me too.
thanks guys i guess ill first improve my standard live chess rating by playing 15|10 games and then go for bullet and blitz rating
wow... playing slow games at live chess is really working!!! thanks guys for the help

Tactics. Blitz is all about how fast you can see the tactics.
Glad it helps.

I improved my blitz by playing bullet (2 mins) games then my 5mins blitz standard improved as it seemed like a lot of time!
