A large number of my blitz opponents can't resist castling on the queen-side....( Compulsive Queen-side Castling Disorder).
This occurs largely, but not confined to, the rating spread 1500 to 1700.
Sufferers of this syndrome are not deterred by open or half- open c files.
The best we can do for these unfortunates is to smash them asap.
