Can I please get some comments on the following situation?
In the second game against the same opponent I was playing in a losing position (although not completely lost) when the other player quit and I was declared the winner. I'd resigned the first game after a huge blunder so it felt ok.
At first I thought it was because of my just unleashed sneak attack but on further analysis my opponent could have dealt with it. (Beginners Optimism!). It turns out that the other player lost their connection.
My opponent has contacted me by email asking me for a win - as a beginner I don't know how to do that but I also wonder how to respond. I have offered to play more games but have not gotten a response.
So first, what is the etiquette governing this? Second, how does one go about changing the recorded outcome of a game?
Thanks
Kupov
His bad luck unfortunately, but he has no right to ask you to throw a game against him.
Unless you were down a queen with no compensation or something, then it might be a nice gesture to at least let him regain the rating points.

It was me...and I was about to win by time, position, material advantage, and check mate...as I was going in for my checks...I got dropped...and you got the instant win...I felt that I was owed at the least a Draw...Good sport like...I have done this with others and vice versa...We are friends now...So I let it go... :D
