Game Explorer for Live games

I heard a while back that eventually we would be able to use the Game Explorer for Live games as we do for Online ones. Does anyone know if that is going to happen? And if not, then how come?

It seems that implementing this would not be very difficult. The only problem I can foresee is that there are more games played Live than Online. And saving these games would take up a lot more space.....

However, there is no doubt that if this feature was enabled, it would help tremendously to improve ones analysis of their own games. The Online Game Explorer is good for developing opening strategies and seeing where you or your opponent went wrong. But for OTB games, this does'n help. As most players do not play the same OTB as they do for correspondence.

So if anyone can give me a little information regarding this, I would greatly appreciate it......

    Thanks

Since using openings books and databases and any external help is illegal for live games I'm pretty sure this will never be available.  Live chess here is meant to be the same as OTB with regard to use of any resources.

I realize this... game explorer is used to go over games you've already completed. Not to be used during an actual live game, obviously that would be cheating. But having my Live games stored in the Game Explorer database as Online games are, would help to determine what mistakes I make during Live play.

My question was if Game Explorer will ever include my Live games? Not that I would use the Game Explorer feature during Live games.....

I'd love a game explorer for live games so that I could peruse someone's opening repertoire that much easier.  It's not like I can't download a pgn of their games and do it myself, though.

Agreed, I play more people, more frequently live than I do with online games. I believe this added feature would be a great benefit to subscriber
