Ive been getting in the habit lately of adjusting my board so that I cant see what my players rating is. All I see is the board and I like it better that way. I know Erik has his plate beyond full, but I would like this as an option where you can set the min/max rating of the players but when the game starts you wont be able to see what there rating actually is. Because there is some psychological effect when you know you are playing someone a lot better or worse. Just an idea

Intimidation?.. Whenever I beat someone who I know is much better at chess than I. I think - Are they really better?... Trust me it is a good feeling. I do understand what you are thinking but it is part of life. The big ones fall hard.

In my opinion, that skill is part of the development of a player -- to train yourself to expect your opponent to play the best move at any time, regardless of rating, high or low.  You'll find you play better that way, without relying on the system to do it for you.

I play better vs better people, I analyze their moves more closely and try harder to play solid.
