A thread about getting our questions answered and debating about live chess computers.

• How can we find these computers off of live chess?  I want to play them without having to wait, and in whatever manner I wish (1 move per day, opening books, etc).
  

• Centuars* - can they play if they tell their opponent about their computer use before the game starts**, and play unrated games?  Alike what they currently do in corrospondance?
  

• Computers - would chess.com welcome efforts to add another computer onto their site (presumably with chess.coms assistance)?

• Possiblity for abuse with computers - couldn't a player theroretically just play an easy computer hundreds of times to artifically boost their rating?

• Any plans for a weaker computer (or a stronger one?). The vast majority of people in this world would get destroyed by computer (easy), including my friend.

*For those that don't know, a chess centuar is a human that uses a chess engine.  They are distinct from cheaters in that they always inform their opponent about their engine use and get their consent, and depending on the site play unrated games.

** I mean BEFORE THE GAME STARTS.  It could be annoying to only find out your opponent is a centuar when they accept your seek (or you accept theirs), not want to play them, and have to abort and look for a new game again.
