in the live chess home page it will show friends currently playing live, however once you get in, they aren't there in the 'friends' tab...anyone else experiencing issues with this...

The information on the main site may indeed be less than up-to-the-second, that's very true. Or do you think it's WAY off base?

in most cases it hours off...sometimes a friend hasnt even logged in for days (according to the 'manage friends' page) and it will show them as currently playing...im not sure how it detects if a player is currently playing...

Yeah, I had a 'friend' who was caught for cheating, and a week later, it still said that person was playing on Live Chess.

its not just when friends aren't online and it says they are, but also when friends are online and it says that no one is currently playing eventhough I'm a game playing with them :S

Act,It's been like that for quite awhile already  .

.. the 'Friends Currently in Live Chess ' on our Live Chess Stats Page ( with their Avatars )  and those that show on our 'Friends List' in our actual Live Chess Page,does not match.

Sometimes a few r missing or they don't show at all .

This is quite possibly the worst user friendly site  I have ever used.  Noone can even figure out how to challenge friends to live chess!

In live chess, you click on the friend's name and click "Challenge to a Game", and then you can set the time limits for that game.

I have just posted a query about this in vain, I guess. I have just retired from my programming job at Columbia University after 21 years, after a total of 44 years of programming. I have never seen such a poorly implemented website as chess.com.
