Just choose custom from the drop down menu. Then type in how long a game you want.

@ qeypgx: that's right, in the dropdown menu for live chess, you can choose the total length of the game (nothing like e.g. 40 moves in 2 hours and 1 hour for the rest).

But there isn't any option for live tournaments, is there?!

It might pose some "technical" problems:

    (1) It would last very long (at least one week for a tournament if the players can play one game of 6 hours per day)

    (2) The players would have to agree on a date for their game of the next round or the game should start automatically at a predefined time, no matter whether the player is/are online or not. Being white could be a disadvantage :)

Blitz tournaments for 6 players would be much easier to organize/program though. I know it from the Free Internet Chess Server.

Hi Live Chess Players, It is quite a long time since I posted my former post without any comment or suggestions to it. It is almost impossible to find players ready for long games (30 minutes or longer) and you must be very fast to click on the one which appeared as a dote in the tournaments window. So, I am thinking to start a group ( "30 MINUTES and LONGER) to gather in it players who are really interested in that kind of live games and perhaps start tournaments for players not interested , dislike or not able to play bullet and blitz.

So comments will be wellcome to decide and go ahead with 30 MINUTES and LONGER

I am not really into 30 mn and longer (or then much much longer, i.e. 3 days/move). Nonetheless, I would probably join your group because sometimes, it can be a real pleasure: you can count on a not very active member ;)

So, this new group would be an integral time choice on chess. com? If so, I'm in. I am a poor chess player but at least I could give other beginners a reasonable game.
