disconnects and then returns....and then..... until the end of the world lol

It seems that he is trying to gain time using the "60 sec waiting for return rule".

Anybody experienced this? So far I managed to win even though. But this sucks...

It would be nice if we could have a checkbox to set a disconnection parameter.

If both players have them checked then both agrees that disconnection will be considered as a forfeit.

    How about it?

we are going to make it so that if you disconnect a 2nd time within x minutes, you lose.

    That would suffice!

    Thanks for the prompt response.

But erik, I frequently disconnect and then reconnect immediately through no actions on my part

Why not just get rid of the part where the clock stops temporarily for a disconnect?  Shouldn't it be enough that the option to reconnect to your game is even there at all?  This should eliminate this as an option for abuse while still allowing TalFan to reconnect to his games as many times as he needs (albeit with a penalty for time lost).

I would favor the option proposed by The Grobe, as I often disconnect multiple times myself.

Maybe the best of both worlds... you get 1 'grace period' disconnect with no time penalty, then if you disconnect again the timer keeps going?

P.S. I'm really enjoying the live chess - never tried it before the recent updates, but it seems quite robust and stable.
