I have been using the Opera browser lately because the new versions of Firefox kept crashing. However it does not seem to be compatible with Live Chess: the board representation is constantly messed up (pieces disappear or appear on the wring square!).
Is that a known problem?
PS: If I go back to Firefox and pray that I don't crash I get constantly disconnected...(I lost 5 games in a row on 2 different days because of diconnections...)
I was playing live chess a while ago when I used to play it. And the squares completely disappeared off the board, and it went all black and I was playing white so I could only see bits of the black pieces.
that happens to me all the time, the board going all black. Usually going into settings and then changing the square colours fixes it, but still you get some black patches around the board.
It's such a basic thing...hopefully the new version of live chess will answer all our hopes and prayers.
I played live yesterday for the first time, and every time (three matches) some of the pieces disappeared. Well, obviously I'll have to use IE while playing chess.
I can heartily recommend safari as browser, it runs also well under windows and is the fastest browser (with chrome) on the market.
I'm not playing regularly for that long, but i never had a crash or a live chess disconnection.
Did i mention it's free?
regards
Opera doesn't work with Live Chess. It should work with the new version of Live Chess, but probably with a few graphical issues.
