Start by using them only in essential situations such as when your opponent is in check with only 1 or 2 possible replies and build up from there. Don't over-use them. And right click to cancel one if you change your mind. And reaslistically if you're not playing one-minute games don't worry about them.
Pre-Moves

Didn't know that, thanks for the advice. I also agree with the tip about not using them unless you're playing 1|0.
I have won several games here because my opponent has premoved imprudently and lost a piece. I would never use the feature myself.

Sadly, I've also lost games based on premoves
They are necessary if you like to play 6 or 7 bullet games at the same time.
I should try that.
I only pre-move where it only kick in on a specific move. For the most part, it's pre-moving a recapture. Since I'm not allowed to capture my own pieces, the move will be thrown out if he doesn't make the capture first.

This. I use it too in blitz.
When the opponent is playing out K+Q vs K because you have only 5s left, it is useful too.
A feature on live chess that is frusturating is being able to make "pre-moves". Whenever i try to use this, the board gets confusing and i accidentally hang pieces. Also, if your opponent uses it, you could lose on time. Please discuss!
