Regarding premove
When I have plenty of time, I can play dozens of moves, while using zero time, all using premove.
How can it also be that when I have very little time, and I also use premove, that I can lose the game on time?
This is my number one [server-based] gripe with live chess.
i really don't get why premove costs any time at all on the timer, i know it's only like 0.06 seconds, but still, i think that if any human can't play that fast anyway then there is no reason to make it time consuming.
in short, premove should be instant and shouldn't whaste any time on the player's timer
doesnt it depend on the signal on that exact time of game?
No, as this is accounted for by the live chess server (I believe). This is why sometimes you'll see your opponents timers jump back up.
I think that your timer starts once it's your move, regardless of whether you have premove set. The server takes some time to make your move, then when it's done it says "oh this guy has premove set, let's put his timer back up where it used to be".
But if you've flagged in the meantime, then tough luck...
yep. it's a problem.
Too many problems with live chess there are.
ok, as long as you know about it.
