I have a reasonable fast computer (I thought), but whenever I play Live Chess, my computer lags. I don't think this is because of an internet connection problem, though. Whenever I'm playing, according to windows task manager, my computer is runnning at 100% processing power. My moves are lagging about 15 seconds 5 moves into the game (the lag gets worse as the game progesses).

This is making me lose games due to time controls and sheer frustration. Is there any way to fix it?

You should use firefox and run a virus sweep! If it continues to act up. Bring it in to a computer shop and see if there's something wrong! Yes, you may consider a faster processer. Hope it helps:)

Thanks, although I'm almost positive I don't have viruses because I scan regularly. Is there any way to lower the pressure that live chess puts on my computer?
