I make move, the piece stays, the time continues to zero and computer never recognizes the move. I get ZERO and reduced rating. I was told to empty cache. I do regularly and not resolving issue. Anyone else having a similar problem?

Are you a web developer? There are a bunch of things you can try to help them debug it. Im sure they asked you what browser you're using...what browser is it btw?
erik
please provide more details if possible! (browser, screenshots, etc)
I am using MAC with Safari browser.
No, I am not a web developer!
I supplied all this before.
is this random or can you recreate the issue? what kind of internet do you use?
This is random yet recurring-almost daily now. I use Shaw cable - high speed lite they call it. If it is possible to copy the screen and post it here, I will, yet what will that show. The issue is the computer does not recognize the move and the timer keeps going.
do you have a firewall or anything that could be interfering with the network traffic? are you on wireless?
I use a MAC and am wireless in the house.
wireless may be the issue. if your wireless drops for a second then we can't connect to the server to authenticate the move... try plugging in and see if it makes a difference?

I have had the same issue before. I had tried switching from IE to Firefox and all the other hoopla but in my case at least, it was switching to a wired network that seems to have done the trick. I haven't seen it since... but I've also been playing a lot less tactics training since I'm not a premium member anymore.
As a forewarning though, my wireless router was so shotty I was regularly losing 30-40% of ping tests I was trying during the diagnosing.
If wireless were the problem, it would show up in other ways such as live chess and online chess. I have had no problems elsewhere.
not necessarily - the backend stuff is different.

I've had this problem before, I have a Mac and use safari as my default browser, by it has happened to me before on my PC at home where I use firefox. This error occurs randomly, and will only occur when loading the first problem when I open tactic trainer, never any problems after the first loaded successfully. Here are two screenshots, one right as I loaded the problem, and one after I solved it.

After Solved: http://i410.photobucket.com/albums/pp182/haribola/Picture2.png
Notice that the timer bar didn't move at all, so I believe that the problem has something to do with this??
hrmm. ok. investigating...

Please check to see if you get any js errors when this occurs. JS errors show up differently on different browsers, but if you know how to recognize them, please look for them when it gets "stuck".
js erors ????? What are they and how does one recognize them?
I just went to tactics trainer and 1st problem incurred this problem as noted by bondiggity.
O also think it shows up as a "skipped" problem when it finally gets recorded in the RECENT PROBLEMS list. There is a long delay before a problem gets recorded here. I assume that that is normal.
Ok, looking into it some more
Ok, PLEASE do me a favor and the next time someone pulls up a tactics problem that has all that code jibberish all over the screen, stop immediately and drop me a message here on chess.com, or post here. Don't do any more tactics problems until I've had a chance to look into it. This will allow me to see what problem exactly is causing the error and perhaps locate the bug. It is NOT normal to see all that code jibberish, so once you do you might as well not attempt to solve the problem.
Another thing that will greatly help is when you do see all that code jibberish, if you know how, view source on the page, and save that source code and email it to me at jay@chess.com. Most browsers have an option for view source somewhere in the menu up above. In IE its under the "view" menu.

it happened to me sometimes with early Google Chrome but now with the updated version I dont appear to have that problem. it never happened with firefox or explorer.
