I was halfway through one game when suddenly it said "game has been automatically aborted" referring to another game that I was not aware of. Then, when I checked my live chess games, it counted as a loss.

It seems to happen when I create a seek and request a rematch at the same time, whereupon if the seek and the rematch are both accepted, one of them would time out, ending both games. In this case, the bug appears to be that multiple games are created if one of them is a rematch and one of them is a seek.

I had this, your explanation is the only 1 I could think of !

I didn't report that as this are only few points of rating... and it doesn't happen often (1 out of 1k games)

The same text, "Game has been automatically aborted," has suddenly appeared and ended several games I was in over the past few days.  The game that was just cancelled was my only game of the day, i.e. I did not request a rematch with anyone, so I don't know what else may have caused it...
