Unable to choose color (LiveChess)

So this is an odd problem. When I try to create a new, unrated challenge with "Play as: White," I still end up playing as black nearly all the time. The same is true if I choose "Play as: Black." What is going on? Why can't I practice white?

I think you can choose the colour with your friends.

I know that the restriction doesn't exist for play between friends, however:

    1. When the ability's not available, the seek window should not make it appear as though it is.
    2. I don't see why it would matter for unrated games, same as between friends (in fact, I can see a stronger case for the former).

It just happened to me, too.  I requested white in three games, but only got it in one game.  I'm not a paying member, just a freeloader.  Maybe that's why?

The way the menu box is set up, it clearly was intended (at least initially) to allow color choice for, and only for, unrated games. You can only select "rated" if you selected "random" color. But for unrated games that isn't the case.

Anyway, I'm just wondering if it's a bug or what, so hopefully staff will find this thread.

Bump. This is a frustrating problem, and I would like some staff input.

I guess. Either section seems appropriate. I can't move it now, anyway.

hehe, actually you can be able to do that by going to your "Content' and click on 'managed your contents' and you will see 'edit/view'

    The moar you know . . .

I do wonder, though, why you can't edit these things in the OP itself, as in most fora.
