What is the difference?

Can someone tell me what is the difference between Live Chess and the "basic version"?  Thanks.

Live chess is played with time controls usually measured in minutes per side and from start to finish a game usually lasts less than an hour.  Depending on the time control the game could be over in a few minutes.

The games you usually play, as you know, give both players days to make one move.

Thanks waffllemaster, but when I went into Live Chess just now, it gave me two choices: "Live Chess" and "Basic Version".  Do you mean that the "Basic Version" is not live chess?

I thought it was a basic version of live chess, perhaps not all the bells and whistles.

Oh!  I never noticed that option, you're right, I see it now.

The only difference I see is live chess is full screen and basic version is smaller.  Maybe the basic version works better for different browsers?  Or better for phones and tablets or something?  I really don't know, good question.

Well, I have a slow internet connection, so perhaps the basic version would work better for me.  Thanks a lot for your help.Smile
