Nice puzzle.
ADK
Im so sorry with you but BISHOPS! are SLIGHTY better than knights, but please dont form a discusion just accept the reality. And please do a harder puzzle this is soooooo!! easy, thanks and dont get mad :)
ok realy the knigth is better it can order threaten in 8 space and the bichops can't i had other example
Bishops are better in a open game with a few pawns remaining, and knights are best in closed games. But you can ask many people what they prefer THE STRONG BISHOPS PAIR, or A KNIGHT PAIR, and you will see that bishops can control STRONGS! diagonals and knights just a few squares, obviously GRANDMASTERS prefer BISHOPS PAIRS more than KNIGHTS PAIRS. Thanks for the demostration of the knights movements, but anyways I prefer bishops.
THANKS AND GOOD KNIGHT... SORRY GOOD BISHOPS :)
I'm so sorry by your manner way to defend the small bishops honor but you will go accept that the knigth are better .I know that you can't accept the reality but I can help you to accept the reality
bla bla bla bla...
I like the bishops but I preffer the knigth
This is turning into a debate. I shall contribute. Most grandmasters accept that, when confined to a crude point scale, that knights are three, and bishops are slightly more than three. However, this conclusion is very shallow. Knights are more powerful in closed games, because they cannot be blocked by fellow pawns. Bishops are more powerful in open games, because they can attack key squares from far away. Also, having a bishop, rather than a knight, can give a player an endgame advantage, because endgames are generally open.
In conclusion, bishops are more powerful than knights slightly more often than knights are more powerful than bishops. However, because each piece has its own strengths and weaknesses, it ultimately depends on the position.
(Also, it's spelled "knight", not "knigth".)
very nice and easy
That was an easy puzzle! Bishops are considered overall the better. But this is largly to do with endgame factor i feel. But as pointed it really does depend on position of the pawns more then anythings. I have been 2 bishops down and still had the winning game just for refference.....
