i noticed the same problem in the second puzzle. i think is not possible to have this situation or when you have a puzzle you can use different chess rules?!?!?!

anyway i solved the first one and it's funny and easy

 ever heard of under promotion(meaning promoting a pawn to somthing other than a queen like another Bishop)?Cool

two words:  highly unlikely

 

for the record.  the puzzles are very good, I thought the dual bishops might

    be an oversite.  it has no bearing on how the puzzle plays
