7 moves to checkmate
Mate in 7 made it sound tricky :), still, it's always fun to finish off the king, even if its not in my game....
Your right I actually screwed up the whole thing, first time I've ever done anything with chess besides play. Oh well maybe I'll get it right next time.
I just plugged this into an engine though and it can get a "+22" position the first few moves in the sequence. Not bad
good puzzle. i like the sequence of the moves, and how every move that black does leads to check and at the end checkmate. Also the threats from white which were very minor had a lot of defense in them so you had to move the material acordingly, but still lead to check and eventually mate.

You screwed up the distance to mate, but not much else. Your sequence of moves is correct except for missing 5. Be3 to stall (frankly, making this move is conceding defeat anyways). The position is sitll a forced mate, but it is a mate in 16 according to Rybka, not 7, if and only if white plays 5. Be3. But the rest of the moves are correct for both sides.
