White to play and mate in two moves
I have never seen a problem-solving program that would solve it .
Mate in 2 ?? Impossible , quickest I find is 3 .
think more
Okay, I'm done here. I like to study for as long as I choose. I'll go read a book. They don't make decisions for me.
yep, no mate in 2. No engine can solve this 'mate in 2' because there isn't one! Except for Bxc7+ any other move by white allows 1...a5 giving the king an escape square.
Red
No computer could solve this because it is NOT possible.
3 moves, no less...
2 moves if rook takes pawn and black uses pawn to go for queen...then move the rook
Just for interest Fritz 11 suggest.
1. +- (#2) 1.d5xe6 c7xd6 2.Qf3xb7#
2.+- (#3) 1.Qf3-c3 a7-a6 2.Qc3xc7+ Kb8-a7 3.Qc7xb7
Though not the same as the given solution I think it's also right. Well done to silentfilmstar13.
we must thing about last black move
there is 1 possible move for black it's e5 ... it's mean white can take him " en passant " via d5 pawn ....
