You screwed it up at the end. Kg3?? Kg1! Kf1 was necessary.

8. Kg3 does not lose since after 8. ... Kg1 9. Kxh3 is a draw. 8. Kf1 also draws, but Kg3 draws faster since black must allow the pawn to be taken or stalemate on the very next move.

Kf1 does draw, but only through repetition if Black wants to drag it out.  Kg3 is more accurate.  Those rook pawns are always tricky to avoid the draw with.

stubid moves I say ..

he could do this instead (the black ) :

1. Ka8 Kc6 2. Ka7 Kd5 3. Kb6 Ke4 4. Kc5 Kf3 5. Kd4 Kh2  6. Ke4 Kg2 7. Kf4 Kh2

then he can easly promote his pawn

 this is nonsense after move 4.  how does Kf3 get to Kh2 in one move... and if he is going to travel like that... the least he should do is at least kill the pawn at h2 when he gets there.
