Isn't 3. Bg5 strong then? The path between the queen and bishop cannot be blocked, due to white's pin on the knight. The Black queen cannot run; it has nowhere to go but on the diagonal. If the Black queen takes, white wins the exchange. Black cannot counterattack by threatening my own queen. Therefore, 2... g6 is forced. Seeing as you are a NM, I suspect I might have missed something, but I do not see it.
