That is cute, did not even think about castling.  I figured that to reach the position, the castling option would no longer be available.  Long answer to the problem would be 1)Rd2 Kb2 2)Ke2#

it would be strange leaving your king and rook in the same position for the whole game but my friend checkmated somebody without moving his two left pawns his left rook and his left knight.
