this puzzle comes from a game i played against my friend donny.  im sure both of us could have played better moves but this is the way the game turned out.  see if you can find the winning line i did.  mate in 4 for black

Very nice, love any mate that uses knights!

Clever queen sac. But if your opponent played 4. Bf3+, you'd lose your queen :(

He'd give up rook + bishop though, so you'd probably still win given the position.

    4. Bxh3 Qxd2 prevents mate. For a while at least, nice tactic.

yeah youre right.  i missed that during the game.  i would have taken his bishop and after i took his rook his king would have a free to space to move.  being up a rook and a bishop i think i could have held on.  thanks for the comment.

Mosqutip is right, fortunatly material lost is even. Pawn+Bishop+Rook=Queen

thanx eli,  if you were to watch that whole game you would see that my friend donny who was playing white blundered his queen early on in the game by mistake.  it gave me some leverage to sacrafice my own queen and find the mate i did.  or if he would have seen the alternative moves you and mosqutip pointed out i could have afforded the queens loss and still been fine.
