    Interesting problem. It's definitely possible to get a safe promotion, but that seems to always lead to a drawn game.

    There are a few "special" positions where the side with the pawn and knight has imminent threats, but there always seems to be a flaw (so far Kacparov's #13 post seems like the closest try).

    Thats an interesting safe promotion! Using a pin to keep the queen away. The ones I found just restricted her access

    White will capture the black queen, of course.

    Brilliant, you've done it.

    It sure looks simple now, doesn't it? but all of us couldn't do it. All it took to lift the stalemate defence was a small adjustment of the pieces.

     

    I'm certainly pleased with this solution.
