Why the extra moves? Black could have just claimed the draw at 38...Nf2+ if he wanted to.

Hi G2 ,

 black plays for a draw because otherwise he will loose ...

he is behind in material ( no queen ) and when he does not check the King , white will have time to start a mating attack ... 

PS you had no answer because " does any one of you want to know why black playing a draw game? " is not the same as " does any one of you knows ( can tell me ) why black is playing for a draw ? " Wink

Nice one!

Also, do the move list in the promotion varation for what happens when the pawn takes the knight (Lower players wont be able to see...)

Pedro, black had to draw the game by perpetual check, not white to mat black.

You know what i mean?
