Given below is an endgame study composed by famed composer Vladimir Korolkov (1948). It is 'white to move and win'. Video lecture and detailed analysis of the solution can be found at, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DRvD-crlyE

The chess study has this unique theme called DOMINATION.

The solution is quite intriguing in that White actually catches the Q even after giving up the N.

Why it is called DOMINATION most probably comes from the fact that White dominates the position in such a manner that Black's Q is frozen where it stands and can not move.  The only move that Black can make without getting mated is the K - after Black has exhausted a pawn move.

    If after 1.Be6+ Black plays 1...Kd8 instead of 1...Ke8, the solution is still the same: 2.Nf5 gxf6 3.Kg5 f4 4.f3 Ke8 5.Kg6 Kd8 6.Kh7 Ke8 7.Bg7 catching the Q.

Yes... Domination is usually defined as when a piece has lot of squares to move yet all of those squares are rendered unsafe by dominating pieces..
