My ongoing game might make a good "novice" puzzle.  It's possible black blundered, but I think the K going the other way would lead to mate.  Thoughts?

Phalanx, move 44 Ke7 and black will keep going up and down if you keep checking. but white's going to win anyway so =) also move 43 Kd8 and if you checking the black king keep moving to Kd7 and back to Kd8 etc so it doesnt really work no. =)

Unless u mean work as in DRAW! =D lol just kidding. perpetual is so useful sometimes. i might make a puzzle about that.

 if Black's King captures the queen, White's Rook to the h file is mate.

got one I made up:              6 move mate. I call it ''stairway to heaven''. There are two ways, and I decided to do this, it is more entertaining.

1.  rxe8 CHECK...knight interposes and queen takes your rook
