You can't force a win on #2. 1.Rh8?? Rh1+ and Black wins.

Ahh - you're correct. I simply counted the spaces to be traversed by the black king, and overlooked the mate threat.

The position decription is: White still has all 16 of his pieces and black only has a bishop but it seems really hard to stop 1 bxc7#

It's just a fun puzzle. Tongue out
