Both the initial position and the final position are drawn.

Actually, it is harder to hold the draw in the final position than it is to draw the initial position.

i like puzzles like this as i have some trouble with pawn type games or endings thanks

Indeed, the puzzle would work much better if all the pawns were a further step back towards the 8th rank. Black will probably win the endgame you've shown.
