     This is a famous puzzle composed by Sam Loyd as a bet with his friend.




      White to move and mate in 5 with THE LEAST LIKELY PIECE OR PAWN TO USE.

       Can you find the mate?

Also, on move #4 black can play any other move instead of f5 and it won't matter.

Furthermore, white can mate with a bishop instead of a queen.

why does the rook move so white can take it?
