1) Rf1, Qg3 and 2) Rxf6+-, if gxf then 3) Rg1 winning the black queen.
1) Rf1, Qg2 then 2) Rhg1, Q move and 3) Rxf6+- again.
1) Nd5 might be winning as well, but why bother with those complications?
Too bad, the OP has fallen asleep on his tread.
His rating is rising VERY fast, and (apparently) he rarely loses. Whatever.
Rf1 c4.Nd5, Ng5 carry on, find the win then.
1) Rf1, c4 (sic) 2)Qxe6, and black has the same problems as before, with one pawn less.
Turn your engine off, and hit the chess books. You'll be a better man for it.
Better still, stop being cryptic and hiding behind Rybka, or whomever.
Have a Nice Day.
Rxg7+ is my answer (I didn't use an engine so I could be wrong)
I'm not using an engine, I just posted this position up from a game of my own, and can't seem to find anyway through but I'm sure there is a way through.
Maybe you should stop being so critical and jumping to conclusions. Just maybe? I will run it through an engine now actually, should have just done that from the start.
Okay maybe c5 isn't a good reply to Rf1, but I do see a way through. Rf1 does work to some extent, it wins the knight, but black is still 3 pawns up for it. Theres a better move though.
I don't see what's wrong with Rf1. Sure it wins the knight, but it's not as if white's attack is over after that.
e5 comes to mind right away too, but I'm not sure on the moves after that.
Nd5 may work too, seems there are a lot of possibilities for white.
No, that's not the best, 4.exd6 is dumb, 4.e6 comes with the same threat but also hits the bishop...
Thanks for the analysis, @Waffle. Very nice.
Waffles got the main idea right, black can play Ne5 instead of Qf6, but you're basically there already. pawn takes bishop, Nf5 to follow and then you have things like Rxg7 sacs or anything really, just throw your pieces at the king.
