Forced mate in 5. edit: Loophole found tho, so it's not forced. The below is kept here, but it's not a forced mate in 5 (black has escape), but below that puzzle I put a modified puzzle where it actually works in 5.
MODIFIED VERSION, ACTUAL MATE IN 5:

Nice puzzle. It's quite the swindle.
These puzzles help you get used to cool sacs.

Nice.

You may have missed a line:
Yes, black can find a draw. I didn't miss the line, I just was showing a situation in which black might not have seen that forced draw. It's not a forced mate, unless you were to cut it off later on. Good job.

Post #1 says it's definitely not forced.
Post #2 says it definitely ain't.
To anyone who is confused, it ISN'T forced.

Also, black can prevent with another line:
Shivasubramanian
@ daxelson, in your variation, it is not 4. Bf3+ but 4.Qf5+ Kh4 (or Kh6) leading to perpetual (but not 4..Rg5 then 5. Qh7#).
@ dpwivagg, 2....Kh8 immediately loses to 3.Qh7#.
The original post represents this a a "Forced mate in 5". The move list shows one alternative line that is flawed/faulty, in that it does not lead to a win by white in 5 - in fact, to judge by the other comments, it winds up being a draw at best. My point was only that the soluion offered for this puzzle is NOT, in fact, a valid solution.
stanhope13
fair enough, a little pedantic.
So let me see if I've got this straight. eXecute posts a puzzle, describes it as a "Forced mate in 5". I point out that it is neither forced, nor a mate in 5, nor, in fact, mate at all, and I'm "pedantic"?

Here is a modded version of your puzzle that patches up the original flaw.
Ok I patched my version, I had misplaced the rook in some edit, a while back.
Now do the puzzle again, this time, there should be no loophole. I edited the original post with a second puzzle. I kept the bad one, due to the many posts regarding that one.
I apologize for the mistake.
Interesting game. Please help.
