Probably the best line for white (I was playing the Hippo Defense with colors reversed). Not so sure about black (trying to be up the exchange loses, obviously). I'm just following what was played at the time. Enjoy.

it could've been 7. Rf7, buy nice all the same...
Not nearly as good, due to the rook no longer being present to block a check from Bxc5. For maximum effect, the queen must be threatened while the rook is still on f2. It is forced to e7, where it stays a target for white but also blocks black's Bf8.
7. Rf7+ Qxf7; 8. Bxf7 Bxc5+; 9. Kh2 Rf8 is not as strong as the line given.
