Ah true bondiggity. I forgot the where the king was supposed to be. I guess having it on g1 will have only one solution.

and to bondigitty's "multiple solutions", u can move the knight to checkmate on the 2nd move too =) but only if the king is not on the backrank and is free from checks after any promotion for the pawn

 Chess is the Royal Game Period. I"m going to read and watch T.V. The book is a chess book by IM Jeramy Silman. The last time I played chess computer, on this site I won. Little Buddy I think thats the name.

I like doing the puzzles. Does anyone have the Chessmaster 10th Edition if so what do you think about it? Thats  the one that I have.

all of the puzzles are interesting in trapping the king in the corner.
