Notes: White played very well and had great strategy, but didn't use any time advantage well, allowing me to mount defenses when I shouldn't have been able to on several occassions. White concentrated forces to control the center of the board. I surrendered my pawns in order to defend my King, managing to line my own pieces up for a series of moves and the win! A fairly easy puzzle for the experienced, though a tough one for me in the heat of competition, as I was paying much more attention to my own King and threats upon it until this move. Please let me know if there is a quicker solution, as this is the only one I could find on my own.
Very Easy
Actually its a mate in 9
Nice play. I don't think you can find mate any faster than 5. That was a great play endgame play. Kudos
five?
^ Nice solution. After reviewing your guys' solutions, I realize that I overlooked Kh7, which would allow the Queen to get in the midst of things. I suppose I should also look for my opponent's ideal moves a bit better, though I'm not very good at visualizing some moves.
em...Cloyescapade its not a mate in 4. because 4.Rg3 is a legal move and can't be checkmated in the next move.
Rg3 isn't a legal move as the king is in check from the rook so the mate in 4 is sound.
4.Qg2???
The right move is Kg3.
Well played.
